Welcome to AMCHC

Appalachian Mountain Community Health Centers (AMCHC) is a new community health center organization which is responsible for providing high quality primary health care to Western North Carolina.  It is a non-profit organization that is one of over 1200 community health center organizations operating in all 50 states throughout the country.  The federal health center program marked its 50th year in 2015 and has promoted innovation and quality in the delivery of primary care services to communities which have not had enough health care providers to properly serve their populations.

Affordable Primary Health Care for Western North Carolina

Appalachian Mountain Community Health Centers is a community health center which provides high quality primary care to its patients without regard to ability to pay.  A sliding fee scale is applied to all charges based on income and family size.  We are not a free clinic, and patients are assessed regarding ability to pay.  In order to help patients avoid any unanticipated medical bills, same-day payment discounts are available.
